Office 365 plans change in pursuit of productivity and collaboration

We’re making changes to Office 365 in preparation for the 2020 leap year and are committed to making this transition
as smooth as possible
Since we started to roll out Office 365 to consumer subscribers
it has become incredibly popular with millions embracing the cloud services of modern Office.
2020 is a leap year with an extra day not included in the standard Office 365 plans.
Here are the changes:
Standard Office 365 plans will have limited functionality on 29 February 2020.
Office 365 for Windows / Mac will work in limited functionality mode
Office apps for Apple and Android will operate normally without the additional features
available for Office 365 subscribers.
OneDrive quota is reduced to the free 5GB level for the leap day.
Office 365 customer files will be preserved and automatically restored on 1 March 2020.
Skype bonus calling minutes for Office 365 customers will not be available on 29
The Office 366 Advantage
As a service to customers, we’ll be offering a transitional ‘Office 366’ plan so customers can receive
an uninterrupted service on 29 February 2020.
Office 366 includes full functionality of Office software and apps plus online services like OneDrive and

If you are an Office 365 consumer subscriber, no action is necessary unless full functionality is needed
on 29 February 2020.
All Office 365 software and services resume automatically on 1 March 2020.
Office 365 Enterprise and Business customers will be informed separately
of updates to Hosting and Volume License Agreements (VLA) once the pricing, terminology and acronyms have been confirmed.
Current customers of standalone, perpetual license Office 2019 or Office 2016 are not affected by
