By The Office 365/Office 366 Team - April 1, 2019

We’re making changes to Office 365 in preparation for the 2020 leap year and are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible

Since we started to roll out Office 365 to consumer subscribers it has become incredibly popular with millions embracing the cloud services of modern Office.

2020 is a leap year with an extra day not included in the standard Office 365 plans.

Here are the changes:

The Office 366 Advantage

As a service to customers, we’ll be offering a transitional ‘Office 366’ plan so customers can receive an uninterrupted service on 29 February 2020.

Office 366 includes full functionality of Office software and apps plus online services like OneDrive and Skype.

Price for Office 366 is $7.99.

We’re taking the following steps to make this transition as easy as possible for customers:

We're committed to making our Office 365 service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These forward-thinking changes are necessary to ensure that we can continue to deliver a collaborative, connected, and intelligent service. They will allow us to continue to innovate and make Office the best option for people who want to be productive and do more.

Additional information can be found at the FAQ, and we will continue to update this page throughout the transition.
